by Manuel Calderon de la Barca
On the occasion of the recent inspection to validate once again the certificate of Clean Beaches in Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, staff participated in cleaning crews for several days. When the government inspector arrived to the hotel, everything was set for accreditation.

On April 11th unofficially said that the beach could be considered ratified with this Certificate of SEMARNAT (Mexican Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources).

Margy Feighner Says:
I hope that the beach is also attended to in front of Velas Vallarta. The area right in front of the resort is always well kept, but we like to walk up the north end, and we always see trash scattered on the beaches, near the airport and farther down. It is apparent that people are enjoying it, but are leaving their trash on the beach…perhaps if there were trash containers, that would make a difference. We did not see any. We have been vacationing at Velas Vallarta for 11 years and have always noticed trash in this area.
