An added attraction in Puerto Vallarta this time of year is the annual Art Walk – the backbone of the thriving cultural activity in PV–– which takes place every Wednesday from the last week in October through April. For the past eight years‚ dozens of art galleries in the downtown area hold major art openings during the high season‚ some for internationally renowned artists‚ others for talented rising stars. Even if you are not planning to purchase a major piece of art, this is a fun way to spend the evening. Walk along the cobblestone streets, pop into the galleries and appreciate the beauty and creativity of local and international artists.
