Canopy Tours

Enjoy an exhilarating Canopy Tour that guides you into Puerto Vallarta’s lush tropical rain forest and gets your adrenaline flowing. Swing from treetop to treetop at exotic locations near Puerto Vallarta. Soaring along zip lines – one of them PV’s highest at 250 feet – crossing hanging bridges and rappelling to the forest floor. Speed over river gorges, splash through streams and learn wilderness techniques while spotting exotic orchids and tropical wildlife. There are several companies in Puerto Vallarta that offer this amazing adventure, including Canopy Tours de los Veranos and Vallarta Adventures. The concierge and activity desks at any one of our properties- Casa Velas, Velas Vallarta or Grand Velas, can arrange your high-flying getaways.

Experiment the adrenaline of this tour, is amazing how you can feel the wind on your face, enjoy the beautifull views of nature and river; This is an activity where you can take off all the stress, screaming while you go from one to one of the plataforms, fly, enjoy and finally get an incredible experience.

My wife and I took the Canopy Tour. Initially we were terrified (I didn’t open my eyes for the first two zip lines). Then the exhilaration kicked in as did the beauty of the scenery. It was a wonderful experience and i’ve been recommending it to all our friends.

Is this an activity that I will be able to do since I am 6 months pregnant? I will be in Mexico from May 1 to May 8.

Jessica, this tour is probably not a good idea for you, as you are expecting. For more information please contact Vallarta Adventures. Here is their website: http://www.vallarta-adventures.com/tour-company/index.html.

I sympathize with you, as I remember well my last vacation before my son was born. I was in Hawaii and really wanted to do some adventure rafting and canopy tours but all of the tour guides said no way. What generally seemed to be allowed was trips on large, steady tour boats, so you may want to look into some nice cruises around the Bay of Banderas. Have a wonderful trip!
