In the summer months, one can find along the beaches of Puerto Vallara various campsite areas where non profit groups of students labour mostly at night in transferring the newly laid eggs of marine turtles that have come back to thier birthplace. These groups of noble people endure rain, mosquitos and huid conditions to transport the nests of eggs to protected areas constructed by various companies, mainly hotels. The reburying of up to 150 eggs per nest helps to provide a better chance that all the newborns have the opportunity to make it to the ocean to mature, then later repeating the process in future years.
